The story of a company usually traces the lives of several men, while the success of a company describes their skills. BATTIPAV was established in the 1970’s, operating mainly as a producer of roller tile-beating machines.
In the Eighties it became NUOVA BATTIPAV thanks to the will and tenacity of Mr. Tondini who in the meantime had become the sole proprietor. Thanks to his intuition, the SKC department was also set up, specialized in the design, development and production of submerged pumps for water circulation and elimination of cutting dust resulting from masonry saws.
The success of the department was immediate to such an extent that today “K series” submerged pumps are used by the majority of European masonry saw manufacturers who fully acknowledge their quality and reliability.
The experience acquired and the growing requests drove SKC to the development and distribution of new models and to industrial production, resulting in the current
”S series”, which has made the company become the undisputed European leader in the sector.
In order to better identify our submerged pumps and to safeguard quality and longevity, each product is marked with the registered trademark AxT, the acronym of “Acqua per Tagli” which stands for Water for Cutting; it certifies its provenance and authenticity and guarantees our production process acquired over ten-years experience.
During the Eighties the first hand tile-cutting machine was designed: the “SUPER PRO” series. This innovative product is provided with a ball-bearing sliding carriage, much appreciated for its perfect smoothness and maximum precision, and is certainly the forerunner of many products that have lead Nuova Battipav to become a European leader in the sector of ceramic tile laying machines and tools.
Currently, NUOVA BATTIPAV covers an overall area of 12,000 sq.m, of which 3,500 indoors, 800 used as offices and the rest for production and storage purposes. |

TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT
This is the heart of the company. Here, all the products that have enriched the production range through the years and have ensured its long-term quality success are created, studied, designed and tested.
A highly developed IT system manages and controls all significant technical aspects, such as the design and development of the electrical motors that equip our machines and the resistance tests of product manufacturing materials. |

THE TRADEMARK
The resourcefulness of a company may also be seen through the evolution of its trademarks.
The first BATTIPAV logo dates back to the company establishment and portrayed a small elephant on top of the world: the throb of the elephant's feet recalled the vibrations of the JUMBO VARIOMATIC roller tile-beating machine, an innovative product at the time for the traditional laying of tiles over a cement screed.
At the end of 1980's the drawing of a layer satisfied with his work was added, and at the end of 1990's the current logo began to be designed.
It is also through the use of its trademarks that Nuova Battipav wishes to improve and to identify and strengthen its finished product. As a result of the strong determination to design and produce a quality product in Italy, full attention and true Italian style are given to all production process phases.
Nuova Battipav has made a precise strategic market choice by directly producing building machines and tools in its factory in Cotignola (Ravenna).
In order to adequately enhance national production quality and to give importance to attentive production processes, Nuova Battipav has decided to create and identify its products with the ITALIAN STYLE brand: a guarantee of quality and safety.
Besides the above mentioned ITALIAN STYLE and AxT Water for Cutting trademarks, the SPRAY SYSTEM brand has also been registered, a patented system that improves the lubrication of diamond slitting wheel in the masonry saws and ensures higher cutting performance and longer-lasting blades.

Strict quality control on chosen materials and tests carried out on our products enable us to offer a 2 (two) year guarantee against faults of materials and manufacture. The following are not included in the guarantee: faults due to incorrect use, normal wear and tear of materials, and incorrect maintenance. |
